First rain in weeks yesterday and the results on two of the booms on the east side of Summit Lake…
36 pounds of bottles, cans, bags, styrofoam to name a few, all from storm sewers.

Canal Boom in place! 120 feet of trash catching magic deployed just south of Summit Lake that will help keep the lake cleaner. Thanks to Dave Stoler, Eric Fitch (thanks Pam for lending us your muscle) and Jerry Harris from Summit Metro Parks! (They help remove the trash we collect from some of our locations)….
Has been a busy week but well worth it! Next project will be deploying a boom on the canal south of the lake…maybe this weekend!
Dave and I had planned on cleaning the boom at Mud Run this morning and the rain started so I took advantage of that and came down to check the booms on Summit Lake and this is the result of that.
