I blame our conversation on the water!. We cleaned booms, 6 bags here 1 from Summit, did some boom maintenance and discussed new booms to install.

Wolf Creek boom in Norton broke away, a result of high water. Booms are designed to do just this so as not to cause flooding issues. We will get it reattached when the water comes down and it is safe.

these two old guys meet up on Mud Run to repair blown out booms and clean up a creek. Tomorrow I hear they are going to be down stream of here to get the trash from the blown out booms 😉. Still 6 bags of trash close to 100 pounds.
An absorption boom was noticed by Dave Stoler at the storm sewer outfall on the Tuscarawas river below the Wolf Creek trailhead.
He did not notice any substance in the water. Out of caution and past experiences especially in this location, we reported to OEPA and received a quick reply. New boom deployed in Norton on Wolf Creek!
This is a 5 minute video showing the process of building and installing a boom. We anticipate a pretty good volume of trash collected here and very grateful to Julie Miller and her husband for giving access to this location and the City of Norton who will be picking up our collected trash!
