Newest boom in place!
Pretty big source of trash there and we should be able to access it to cleanup with just a pair of muck boots. Thanks South Street Ministries for the interest and the assist! And thanks to Summit Metro Parks.

This one is at the bottom of Trail Ave. Managed 4 bags at about 85 pounds. Thanks Ohio Erie Canalway Coalition and Summit Metro Parks for picking up our trash! Best part of the day, meeting and talking with people out enjoying the trail!
We do have some fun and really appreciate the waves and words of encouragement from folks passing by. Tomorrow at 8 am, we will be on Summit Lake around the Nature Center adding secondary booms there. (Too much trash coming through the storm sewers on heavy rain events). A big Thank You to Summit Metro…
Looks like the word made it to the folks working here. Some barriers have been put in place. Even with a soft voice, we can have impact.
This is our spoils from the south east side. Still more to do at this location but our booms will prevent much more from coming in as we keep cleaning. The crew here: Jennifer, Eric, Brad and Opa. Thanks for sharing your Saturday morning! Thanks to Tina, Julie Ann, Chris, Molly, Lilly, Sean, Crystal, Let’s…
Thanks for the sign from Julie Miller Derek! toward the middle of the short video. Summit Lake ice has gone so look for #riverkeepersohio out there again deploying new booms and maintaining all. Watch for the video tomorrow sharing the story of the lost phone from last week!!
This is a 5 minute video showing the process of building and installing a boom. We anticipate a pretty good volume of trash collected here and very grateful to Julie Miller and her husband for giving access to this location and the City of Norton who will be picking up our collected trash!
