In the video you see me using the most common tools for cleaning out booms. It took about 35 min in real time in part because of the snow and ice. I also made a trip to the Canal Boom just south of Summit Lake. That video will come tomorrow. You can see the oil sheen, I talk about that in the video.
This is one of the MAJOR sources of trash coming into Summit Lake. I was out surveying outfalls from my kayak today. We already have two booms on the lake and with some collaboration, we should be deploying a few more on and around the lake soon. Did pull a bag of trash today.
What we are seeing here is the residual. Fire department placed the soft booms with our trash booms to collect that. (Some placement adjustment is in order and being handled). Sorry for the late update, flu had knocked me on my can.

these two old guys meet up on Mud Run to repair blown out booms and clean up a creek. Tomorrow I hear they are going to be down stream of here to get the trash from the blown out booms 😉. Still 6 bags of trash close to 100 pounds.
