Wolf Creek in Norton.
Flooding and ice broke the boom away as designed several weeks ago and today finally had the opportunity to put it back to work. Note, I do not have to get in the water for any of this, even when I forgot to hold the trow rope when I sent it sailing to the far…

Spent some time collecting at Mud Run (3 bags 39 pounds), Wolf Creek (1 bag 8 pounds) and new boom off of Cordova (5 bags 59 pounds).

We have a new member, Jennifer, to the Riverkeepers Ohio club.
Along with Jennifer, Eric Fitch joined us today too and we pulled 15 bags at 177 pounds of trash from Mud Run keeping it out of the Gulf! In the video they share their thoughts. Thank you both and Dave for turning this 2+ hour job into about an hour.

Heavy rain with some lightning!!
Can’t get in the water now but can check how booms are working! We did get 20 pounds out of the Nature Club’s boom that the kids built and installed last week outside the Nature Center. The new RiverKeepers Ohio members! Great Job! Thanks Thanks Summit Metro Parks!

Contamination is still present.
Booms, ours and theirs, are containing the vast majority. Steady increase in volume. Will get back out Monday to put eyes on it and follow up with OEPA for next steps.
