Mud Run… Riverkeepers Ohio first boom location
This stretch collects a lot of trash before it gets lost in Tuscarawas, however, the water quality seems to be degrading since last year this time. We are working with agencies to figure this out and turn it back around.
No trash at the boom on Mud Run?!
Went out today to clean and this is what I found along Mud Run. Not wanting to call anyone out but we do need some help in this one section so it stays clean.

Spent a couple hours out along the canal and south Summit Lake this morning collecting about 200 pounds of trash at both our trash booms and with a new long handled net for along the boardwalks.
The net is a handy addition to the tool belt for Riverkeepers Ohio. Summit Metro Parks and Ohio Erie Canalway Coalition, thank you for all you do daily in this area and for helping us!
